Our baptismal vows, confirmation, and joining the church all have us commit to full church participation.
"As members of this congregation, will you faithfully participate in its ministries by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness?"
Prayers - While many pray at night, I like to start the day in prayer in thanksgiving for another day. Pray for others and pray for yourself.
Your Presence - Actively attending worship and events is part of being a member of the church. We love you.
Gifts - Not just monetary gifts, this includes things like artistic talent, your singing voice, your leadership or participation in committees, and whatever God has given you distinctly.
Service - Giving of yourself to serve others inside or outside the church is spiritually rewarding. Mission trips are especially invigorating.
Witness - Have you shared your love of God with others? If you found a mountain of gold, would you tell your family and friends? How much richer is our spiritual life and the blessings of peace and love and eternal life?
